In the Marvel section of Disney+, the different movies, series, and specials are listed in a variety of ways. One such way is the “Timeline Order,” which lists the in-universe chronological order in which Marvel’s content takes place.
This list was recently updated to include the now-released Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, which takes place after Werewolf by Night and Thor: Love and Thunder, making it the most recent story in the MCU.
Keep in mind that Black Panther: Wakanda Forever isn’t included yet, so its placement may affect the list when it arrives on Disney+.
The special, which is now available for viewing on Disney+, sees the Guardians traveling to Earth during Christmas time. Their goal is to find a gift for Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), who has been upset following Gamora’s disappearance at the end of Avengers: Endgame.
