Talk to Me directors Danny and Michael Philippou have shared a few details about their upcoming Street Fighter movie.
Their new movie Talk to Me has opened to critical praise and box office success, currently sitting at a 94% on Rotten Tomatoes. They have been tapped to direct a new Street Fighter movie. The original film came out in 1994 and starred Jean-Claude Van Damme in the lead role. It was written and directed by Steven E. De Souza, known for writing Die Hard, Commando, and 48 Hrs.
Legendary Entertainment has acquired the film rights and hired the RackaRacka duo to direct. Michael commented on how the movie “has an amazing lore, characters, and world.” Danny said, “With Street Fighter, Legendary, [it appears] that they’re going to let us take control and really do our thing with it. It’s very exciting.”
