Walmart has an exclusive V/H/S Triple Feature SteelBook coming early next year for the newest trilogy of the found footage series.
V/H/S Gets Physical Again
The SteelBook release collects V/H/S 94, V/H/S 99, and this year’s V/H/S 85 into one physical package and slaps a clean, striking bit of artwork on the front of a cool, cold SteelBook case.
The modern V/H/S films came several years after the successful V/H/S. V/H/S 2. and the less successful V/H/S Viral. They effectively created a reboot of the anthology horror series that has seen some of the biggest names in modern genre cinema involved, including X and Pearl director Ti West, David Bruckner (The Night House, The Ritual) Adam Wingard (Godzilla vs. Kong, You’re Next), Timo Tjahjanto (The Night Comes For Us), Johannes Roberts (47 Meters Down, The Strangers Prey at Night) and Scott Derrickson (The Black Phone, Sinister).
V/H/S/94: After the discovery of a mysterious VHS tape, a brutish police swat team launch a high-intensity raid on a remote warehouse, only to discover a sinister cult compound whose collection of pre-recorded material uncovers a nightmarish conspiracy.
V/H/S/99 harkens back to the final punk rock analog days of VHS, while taking one giant leap forward into the hellish new millennium. In V/H/S/99, a teenager’s home video leads to a series of horrifying revelations.
