Spider-Man 4: Thomas Haden Church Thinks Sam Raimi Will Make a Sequel

Spider-Man 3 and No Way Home star Thomas Haden Church has revealed that he believes Sam Raimi will return to make Spider-Man 4 with Tobey Maguire.

Speaking with ComicBook.com, Church mentioned that there have been rumors about him playing Sandman again in some form of future project. The actor then said that he believes Raimi will do another Spider-Man movie with Maguire, and that he’d love to take part in it if that happens.

“But Sandman, there’s been some rumors that they might ask me to do another Spider-Man, and I’d do it tomorrow … You know, they’ve never asked me to show up in another movie, another Marvel film,” Church stated. “But, you know, I think Sam is gonna do another Spider-Man with Tobey [Maguire], and that’s the one that … They had an option for me to do Spider-Man 4 when there was going to be a Spider-Man 4. They had an option on me to come back. So if it happens, that would be fantastic. I’m getting a little old.”

What was the last Marvel movie Thomas Haden Church was in?

Church last appeared as Sandman in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, which saw the return of many characters from both the Sam Raimi Spider-Man films as well as the Andrew Garfield-led The Amazing Spider-Man films. That film was a massive success for both Marvel Studios and Sony, grossing more than $1.9 billion at the box office and becoming the sixth-highest-grossing film of all time.
