Steven Spielberg is reportedly working on a new UFO movie based on his own original idea, according to a report from Variety.
The news comes in their recent report regarding Martin Scorsese’s planned Frank Sinatra and Jesus movies. According to the report, Spielberg will partner up with screenwriter David Koepp, who will write the script of the UFO film.
Currently, nothing else is known about the project, but Spielberg is no stranger to the world of sci-fi films. The legendary director is famous for past sci-fi projects like E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, War of the Worlds, and even Ready Player One, his most recent sci-fi project.
Spielberg has several projects in the works
Up next for Spielberg, the director is reportedly working with Martin Scorsese on a television project based on the 1991 and 1962 movies Cape Fear. Not a whole lot is known about that project as of now, however, so it remains to be seen when we’ll see more of that.
Spielberg’s last feature film was 2022’s The Fabelmans, a project that was written and directed by Spielberg, and told a fictionalized version of his adolescence and first years as a filmmaker.
