What do we know about Marvel’s Deadpool & Wolverine?

A sequel to 2016’s Deadpool and 2018’s Deadpool 2 that will officially introduce Wade Wilson into the MCU, Deadpool & Wolverine is directed by Shawn Levy, who previously made 2006’s Night at the Museum, 2011’s Real Steel, 2021’s Free Guy, and 2022’s The Adam Project, among other titles.

The screenplay was written by Levy, Ryan Reynolds, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Zeb Wells.

Reynolds is reprising his role as the Merc With a Mouth in the Marvel film, while Hugh Jackman is also stepping back into the role of Wolverine. It also stars Emma Corrin as Cassandra Nova, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Rob Delaney as Peter, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Matthew Macfadyen as Paradox, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Stefan Kapičić as Colossus, and Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio.

Marvel Studios presents their most significant mistake to date – Deadpool & Wolverine,” the synopsis for the movie reads. “A listless Wade Wilson toils away in civilian life. His days as the morally flexible mercenary, Deadpool, behind him. When his homeworld faces an existential threat, Wade must reluctantly suit-up again with an even more reluctantlier… reluctanter? Reluctantest? He must convince a reluctant Wolverine to – f—. Synopses are so f—ing stupid.”

Deadpool & Wolverine releases in United States theaters on July 26, 2024, as part of Phase Five of the MCU. Tickets are now on sale.
