The first six minutes have arrived from Maniac starring Elijah Wood as the owner of a mannequin store that has a desire for stalking, scalping and killing with most of it told through the eyes of the killer. And you’ll be getting a dose of that killing once those first six minutes are up.
The screenplay is from High Tension and The Hills Have Eyes co-writers Alexandre Aja and Grégory Levasseur and just recently hit theaters in Germany, but IFC Midnight has yet to announce a domestic debut.
Along with the first six minutes, Warner Bros. France has released an additional five minutes as it will be hitting French cinemas on January 2. Those additional minutes include even more killing. So, yes, these are red band clips and probably not safe for work.
Maniac is directed by Franck Khalfoun and is a remake of the 1980 film by William Lustig, which starred Joe Spinell in the lead role. Check out the videos below.
