Leonardo DiCaprio may partner with Ridley Scott for an adaptation of The Wolf of Wall Street, reports Deadline.
The project, based on the memoirs of Jordan Belfort, tells the rise-and-fall story of the founder of a brokerage firm in the late 80’s and early 90’s who ultimately went to jail for financial fraud.
The script, by Terry Winter, was initially planned for Martin Scorsese to direct (with DiCaprio), but Deadline suggests that he has given it up to Scott.
