Nolan and Fincher Discuss Malick’s The Tree of Life

There are few movies that have had such an impact on those who’ve seen it this year than Terrence Malick’s The Tree of Life, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival to rave reviews, before winning the Palme d’Or. It’s been playing in theaters for a few weeks in select cities and it’s going to be expanding wider over the next few weekends, which may be why Fox Searchlight Pictures turned to visionary filmmakers Christopher Nolan and David Fincher to do testimonials on how Malick has been such a huge influence on their work and why moviegoers will want to check out The Tree of Life even if they don’t think it’s for them.

You can watch the featurette below and check your local theater listings for when Malick’s film is opening near you. (You can also read our review here.)
