On the heels of the news that the production lost Demi Moore, the Linda Lovelace biopic, Lovelace, has added Chloe Sevingy to the cast. She’ll play a feminist journalist assigned to write about the “Deep Throat” star.
Set to star Amanda Seyfried in the title role (opposite Peter Sarsgaard), this film version arrives from directors Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman (Howl) and is seperate from a rival biopic entitled Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story. That version is set to be written and director by Matthew David Wilder and Malin Akerman is attached to play the leading role. Instead, Lovelace is based on Eric Danville’s biography “The Complete Linda Lovelace.” The film follows Linda Boreman’s rise to fame as the iconic porn star of 1972’s Deep Throat, and her subsequent transformation into feminist, anti-porn activist Linda Marchiano. The story is told through the perspective of three interviewers at various stages of her life.
Now in production in Los Angeles, the supporting cast of Lovelace includes Hank Azaria, Wes Bentley, Bobby Cannavale, Chris Noth, Robert Patrick, Sharon Stone and Juno Temple.
