Sarah Jessica Parker has signed on for an appearance in the upcoming biopic Lovelace, EW reports. She’ll play the part of feminist activist Gloria Steinem in the Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman (Howl) film.
Set to star Amanda Seyfried in the title role of Linda Lovelace (opposite Peter Sarsgaard), the film is based on Eric Danville’s biography “The Complete Linda Lovelace.” The film follows Linda Boreman’s rise to fame as the iconic porn star of 1972’s Deep Throat, and her subsequent transformation into feminist, anti-porn activist Linda Marchiano. The story is told through the perspective of three interviewers at various stages of her life.
The Stenheim role, said to essentially be a cameo, was originally to be played Demi Moore, but she was forced to recently drop the project.
Now in production in Los Angeles, the supporting cast of Lovelace includes Hank Azaria, Wes Bentley, Bobby Cannavale, Chris Noth, Robert Patrick, Sharon Stone, Chloe Sevigny and Juno Temple.
