Attack the Block writer/director Joe Cornish has lined up a new project at Paramount Pictures, Deadline reports. He’s become attached to write and direct an adaptation of Neal Stephenson’s popular sci-fi novel Snow Crash. The official description reads as follows:

The book, published in 1992, has been heralded as a modern classic in the genre and a film version has been long-anticipated.
Though Attack the Block marked Cornish’ big screen debut as a director, he’s also one of the writers of last year’s The Adventures of Tintin and worked again with Edgar Wright for the upcoming Ant-Man.
Kathleen Kennedy is set to produce Snow Crash through Kennedy/Marshall.
