After acquiring the rights to the thriller earlier this year, Vertical Entertainment has debuted the first trailer for The Bay of Silence starring Claes Bang (Dracula) and Olga Kurylenko (The Room), teasing a story in which some secrets echo forever. The trailer can be viewed in the player below!

Based on the novel of the same name from Lisa St. Aubin de Terán, the story follows Will (Bang) as he realizes his wife Rosalind (Kurylenko) and their three children have suddenly disappeared and sets off on a frantic search across Europe. After locating them in a remote village in northern France, Will is horrified to learn his infant son has mysteriously died and sets out to discover the truth, finding himself at odds with Rosalind’s former stepfather, Milton (Brian Cox, Succession), who wants to protect her for his own private reasons.

The film is directed by Paula van der Oest (Black Butterflies) from a screenplay by Caroline Goodall (Hunter Killer) and is produced by Goodall alongside Alain De Levita (The Resistance Banker), Cheyanne Kane (Dispossessed) and Jason Newmark (Triangle).

The Bay of Silence is set to hit virtual cinemas and VOD on August 14 in the United States, followed by an August 28 release in the UK and worldwide dates soon to be announced.
