MGM has dropped the first clip from the Channing Tatum and Reid Carolin’s forthcoming buddy comedy film Dog, which will hit the theaters on February 18. Its current theatrical release will pit the film directly against a high-profile competition in the form of Sony Pictures’ Tom Holland-led action adventure film Uncharted.
The video, which you can check out below, features Tatum’s character as he tries to calm down his furry road trip buddy, who’s getting anxious in his cage.

“Dog is a buddy comedy that follows the misadventures of two former Army Rangers paired against their will on the road trip of a lifetime,” reads the synopsis. “Army Ranger Briggs and Lulu (a Belgian Malinois dog) buckle into a 1984 Ford Bronco and race down the Pacific Coast in hopes of making it to a fellow soldier’s funeral on time. Along the way, they’ll drive each other completely crazy, break a small handful of laws, narrowly evade death, and learn to let down their guards in order to have a fighting chance of finding happiness.”
