Netflix has dropped the first teaser for the upcoming latest installment to Tim Miller’s adult-animated anthology series Love Death + Robots, giving us our first glimpse at the new stories and epic animation styles that will be featured in Volume 3. It is scheduled to make its return on May 20.

A re-imagining of the 1981 animated sci-fi film Heavy Metal, this Emmy-winning adult animated series is aimed towards adults with stories that go across every genre from science fiction, comedy, fantasy, and horror.
“Terror, imagination and beauty combine in new episodes of Love Death + Robots which stretch from uncovering an ancient evil to a comedic apocalypse, telling startling short stories of fantasy, horror and science-fiction with trademark wit and visual invention,” reads the synopsis.
The first two seasons featured the voices of Chris Parnell, John DiMaggio, Christine Adams, Hakeem Kae-Kazim, Nolan North, Samira Wiley, Elodie Yung, Jennifer Hale, Sebastian Croft, and Michael B. Jordan.

Love Death + Robots has been in development since the late 2000s. Executive producers are David Fincher (Mindhunter) and Tim Miller (Deadpool), along with Jennifer Miller and Joshua Donen.
