Disney has dropped two brand new Wish videos for its forthcoming animated musical fantasy, highlighting one of the film’s songs, titled “I’m A Star,” hailing from Grammy nominee Julia Michaels.
“The song is fun and deeply meaningful—through the power of Star’s stardust, all of nature comes to life and explains to Asha that we are all made of the same stuff,” Benjamin Rice, who co-composed the song with Michaels, said in a statement. “We are ALL stars! This song is also one of my personal favorites due to its message and the emotions and truth that it strikes in us all.”
The first video is a lyrics video of “I’m A Star” performed by 22 individual soloists who voice a host of forest animals and plant life that come to life and serenade Ariana DeBose’s Asha. As for the second video, it offers fans a behind-the-scenes look at Alan Tudyk’s voice recording session, as his character Valentino, a talking goat, is also one of the voices featured in the said song.
