The first Beetlejuice Beetlejuice teaser trailer for the Michael Keaton and Jenna Ortega-led sequel has been released by Warner Bros. The film is set to hit theaters on Friday, September 6, 2024.
The trailer gives us our first real look at the highly anticipated follow-up film, showing Ortega, Keaton, Catherine O’Hara, and Winona Ryder back in the iconic small town of Winter River, Connecticut.
“Beetlejuice is back! After an unexpected family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River,” reads the sequel‘s synopsis. “Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia’s life is turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid, discovers the mysterious model of the town in the attic and the portal to the Afterlife is accidentally opened. With trouble brewing in both realms, it’s only a matter of time until someone says Beetlejuice’s name three times and the mischievous demon returns to unleash his very own brand of mayhem.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is once again being directed by Tim Burton. This marks Burton’s feature directorial comeback five years after the release of Disney’s live-action Dumbo.
Who else is starring in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice?
After initially working together in Netflix’s Wednesday series, Scream VI star Jenna Ortega reunites with Burton. Joining Ortega are returning stars Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, and Catherine O’Hara. The sequel will also introduce new characters played by Justin Theroux, Monica Bellucci, and Willem Dafoe.
