Amazon MGM Studios has shared the full Jackpot trailer for its forthcoming action comedy, starring Awkwafina, John Cena, and Simu Liu. The film will be available for streaming on August 15 on Prime Video.
What happens in the Jackpot trailer?
In the official trailer, Awkwafina’s Katie suddenly wins billions worth of lottery. However, before claiming her prize, she must survive the day and evade getting caught by desparate people trying to steal her win. Thankfully, a lottery protection agent arrives to help get away from these people. The video highlights all the crazy shenanigans they’ll go through before Kate gets her prize.

Jackpot is directed by Paul Feig and written by Rob Yescombe. The film also stars Ayden Mayeri, Donald Elise Watkins, Sam Asghari, and Murray Hill. In addition to leading the cast, Cena is also serving as an executive producer along with Michelle Morrissey, Rob Yescombe, and Zack Roth. It is produced by Feig, Joe Roth, Jeff Kirschenbaum, and Laura Fischer.
“In the near future, a ‘Grand Lottery’ has been newly established in California – the catch: kill the winner before sundown to legally claim their multi-billion dollar jackpot,” reads the film’s official synopsis. “When Katie Kim moves to Los Angeles, she mistakenly finds herself with the winning ticket. Desperate to survive the hordes of jackpot hunters, she reluctantly joins forces with amateur lottery protection agent Noel Cassidy who will do everything in his power to get her to sundown in exchange for a piece of her prize. However, Noel must face off with his slick rival Louis Lewis, who also seeks to collect Katie’s commission at all costs.”
