Paramount has premiered the first trailer for Hot Tub Time Machine 2, which will be hitting theaters this coming Christmas, bringing back the majority of the cast members from the first one including Rob Corddry, Craig Robinson, Clark Duke, Adam Scott, Chevy Chase and Gillian Jacobs. Sorry, no John Cusack.
The 2010 original followed a group of best friends who’ve become bored with their adult lives: Adam (John Cusack) has been dumped by his girlfriend; Lou (Corddry) is a party guy who can’t find the party; Nick’s (Robinson) wife controls his every move; and video game-obsessed Jacob (Duke) won’t leave his basement. After a crazy night of drinking in a ski resort hot tub, the men wake up, heads’ pounding, in the year 1986. It’s their chance to kick some past and change their futures.
There isn’t an official synopsis for the sequel just yet, but I don’t think it’s going to be so confusing you’ll need it written down. Check out the red band trailer below.
