Do any of you guys out there remember a movie called We’re the Millers, the R-rated family road trip comedy starring Jennifer Aniston, Jason Sudeikis, Emma Roberts, and Will Poulter? Of course you do, surely you’ve at least heard of it: We’re the Millers came out less than two years ago and racked up $270 million at the worldwide box office on a $37 million budget, pretty stellar numbers by any measure.
Well it seems Warner Bros. is hoping for a similar outcome with its latest Vacation installment, because the latest trailer for the film is basically selling We’re the Millers 2, just with a different cast. Maybe that’s not necessarily a bad thing, as I quite enjoyed We’re the Millers, and maybe it couldn’t necessarily be helped, as both films are about a family embarking on a cross-country adventure (albeit for very different reasons). Still, it’s hard for me to look at the trailer below and not think of We’re the Millers, which is strange because I didn’t like it that much.
