Saturday Night Live returning to Studio 8H in October for Season 46
Saturday Night Live is officially making its return to Studio 8H for their upcoming 46th season after showcasing three at-home performances during quarantine. The long-running sketch comedy will air a live episode on October 3 on NBC. Further details about the premiere’s host and musical guest are still being kept under wraps.

Saturday Night Live‘s last in-studio episode was back on March 7 where it was hosted by No Time to Die star Daniel Craig. While the home editions of SNL was produced remotely with cast members filming sketches from their homes. Hosted by Tom Hanks with musical guest Chris Martin, the first episode earned Saturday Night Live it’s second-best same day ratings of the reason.
Last season’s roster is also expected to return for the new season consisting of Aidy Bryant, Michael Che, Pete Davidson, Colin Jost, Kate McKinnon, Kenan Thompson, Cecily Strong, Kyle Mooney, Mikey Day, Beck Bennett, Alex Moffat, Heidi Gardner, and Melissa Villasenor as well as Ego Nwodim, who was recently promoted from featured player to main cast member. It will also feature Season 45’s featured players Chloe Fineman and Bowen Yang.
