The Wonder Years reboot is officially getting the go-ahead from ABC alongside three other shows.

The single-camera comedy is helmed by Saladin Patterson (Dave), Lee Daniels (Empire), and Fred Savage, who starred in the original show that ran from 1988 through 1993. Instead of the Arnolds, the show will focus on the Montgomery, Alabama-based Williams family in the 60s. The show will focus on a 12-year-old named dean played by Elisha Williams. Dule Hill (Psych) and Saycon Sengbloh (In The Dark) will play his parents, while Laura Kariuki is his sister. Don Cheadle will serve as the narrator, an adult version of Dean.
Besides The Wonder Years reboot, other new series ordered by ABC include the drama Queens. This will focus on a 90s female hip-hop group reuniting while the women are in their forties. It will star Eve, Brandy, Naturi Naughton, and Nadine Velasquez. Zahir McGhee (Scandal) is the series creator and executive producer.

Additionally, ABC has ordered two comedies: Abbott Elementary and Maggie. Abbott Elementary is created by Quinta Brunson, who will also star in the comedy. It takes place in a Philadelphia school and follows teachers that have to deal with a clueless principal. Tyler James Williams (The Walking Dead), Janelle James, Chris Perfetti (In the Dark), Lisa Anne Walter (Emeril), and Sheryl Lee Ralph (Ray Donovan) will also star.
Meanwhile, Maggie follows the titular psychic, who is played by Rebecca Rittenhouse. After seeing into her own future, Maggie decides to live in the present. It also stars David Del Rio, Nichole Sakura (Superstore), and Angelique Cabral. Co-creators on the series are Justin Adler and Maggie Mull, who will both executive produce as well.
