The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers Scores Season 2 Renewal at Disney+

Disney+ has officially renewed its hit sports comedy-drama The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers for a second season. The renewal comes after over two months since the Lauren Graham and Emilio Estevez-led revival series aired its first season finale back in May. The series is currently slated to make its return sometime next year.

Set in present-day Minnesota, the Mighty Ducks have evolved from scrappy underdogs to an ultra-competitive, powerhouse youth hockey team. After 12-year-old Evan Morrow is unceremoniously cut from the Ducks, he and his mom, Alex, set out to build their own team of misfits to challenge the cutthroat, win-at-all-costs culture of youth sports today. With the help of Gordon Bombay, they rediscover the joys of playing just for the love of the game.

Based on the 1992 sports comedy-drama film, The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers stars Brady Noon, Lauren Graham, and original star Emilio Estevez, who is reprising his role as Coach Gordon Bombay. It also stars Maxwell Simkins, Swayam Bhatia, Luke Islam, Kiefer O’Reilly, Taegen Burns, Bella Higginbotham, and DJ Watts.
