The drama will see Eminem — real name Marshall Mathers — guest-starring as White Boy Rick, a.k.a. Richard Wershe Jr., the real-life infamous Detroit resident who later became an undercover FBI informant during his teenage years. Wershe would eventually be sentenced to life in prison, but has since been paroled and was released at the age of 50 in July 2020.
Eminem will join previously announced cast members Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory Jr. (who will portray his father in the series), Russell Hornsby, Michole Briana White, Ajiona Alexus, and Eric Kofi Abrefa. Myles Truitt, Steve Harris, Arkeisha “Kash Doll” Knight, Wood Harris, Snoop Dogg, La La Anthony, and Serayah are also set to appear in the show.

The upcoming drama is inspired by the true story of two brothers, Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory, who rose from the streets of Southwest Detroit and become one of the most influential crime families of the 1980s. The series is executive produced by Jackson alongside showrunner, executive producer, and writer Randy Huggins.
