Mike Flanagan (Midnight Mass, The Haunting of Hill House, Doctor Sleep) announced on Twitter that production on Netflix’s limited horror drama series The Fall of the House of Usher has officially begun in Vancouver.

The eight-episode series will be based on multiple works from legendary author Edgar Allan Poe, described as “an epic tale of greed, horror, and tragedy.”
The Fall of the House of Usher will star Frank Langella as Roderick Usher, Mark Hamill, Carla Gugino, Mary McDonnell as Madeline Usher, Carl Lumbly as C. Auguste Dupin, Michael Trucco, T’Nia Miller, Paola Nuñez, Henry Thomas, Kyleigh Curran, Samantha Sloyan, Rahul Kohli, Kate Siegel, Sauriyan Sapkota, Zach Gilford, Katie Parker, Malcolm Goodwin, Crystal Balint, Aya Furukawa, Daniel Jun, Matt Biedel, Ruth Codd, Annabeth Gish, Igby Rigney, Jayr Tinaco, Willa Fitzgerald, and Robert Longstreet.

Created by showrunner Flanagan, who will also direct, the series is executive produced by Flanagan, Trevor Macy, Emmy Grinwis, Melinda Nishioka, and Michael Fimognari.
