Nothing better than an underdog story to kick off July.
Starting July 10, fans will be able to watch Cinderella Man on Freevee, Amazon’s ad-supported video-on-demand streaming service that goes in pair with Prime Video. Directed by Academy Award-winner Ron Howard, Cinderella Man stars Russell Crowe, Renée Zellweger, Paul Giamatti, Craig Bierko, Bruce McGill, and Paddy Considine, among others. Briefly, it follows the story of Irish-American boxer James J. Braddock, who became the boxing heavyweight champion of the world during the Great Depression. The story was highly praised by critics and it piled up three Oscars nominations, Best Supporting Actor (Giamatti), Best Film Editing, and Best Makeup.

Prime Video will also debut an interesting original documentary on the Australian Football League. The story will be available starting July 8, and features some Australian Rules Football players like Michael O’Loughlin, Michael ‘Sonny’ Walters, and Tarryn Thomas,
“Directed by award winning director Professor Larissa Behrendt (Eualeyai, Kamillaroi), the documentary offers compelling insight that explores the deeply personal and poignant stories of three Indigenous AFL players and celebrates Aboriginal Australia and its association with the Australian Football League,” reads the synopsis.
