Joel Keller from Decider writes, “What Stillwater excels at is its utter calmness. It doesn’t ever give into the temptation to pump in more upbeat music or introduce a ton of characters into Stillwater’s world. It does what it’s meant to do: Teach lessons to kids and try to get them to sit still and relax.”
The Guardian’s Ellen E. Jones says, “Stillwater’s earnest, encouraging style doesn’t leave much space for humour or silliness, but its calming tone is just right for the post-dinner, pre-bedtime crowd. The quality of animation is also well above average.”
