What Are the Critics Saying About Carnival Row Season 1?
Carnival Row Season 1 has an official critics rating of 57% and an average audience score of 87% on Rotten Tomatoes. Most viewers have enjoyed the new universe, and the performances have received special praise.
Steve Greene from IndieWire writes, “It’s a show with certainly admirable ambitions, but through nearly every aspect of its swirling narrative, Carnival Row is less than the sum of its otherworldly parts.”
The Hollywood Reporter’s Tim Goodman says, “Ultimately, Bloom and Delevingne must carry the bulk of the first season, and they end up being the primary reasons to keep going when things flag. Part of their success is being believable and playing well off all the characters they encounter, lending some ballast to a spinning story.”
