Paramount+ has announced that the Frasier revival has been renewed for Season 2, ensuring more of the Kelsey Grammer-led comedy is on the way.
Variety reported that the revival will be back for a second season on the streaming platform, with the new season once again being filmed in front of a live studio audience at at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles.
“Frasier is a love story, and I am very happy we will be allowed to continue it,” Grammer said in a statement. “I’m delighted that our partners at CBS Studios and Paramount+ are on board for another season, and I can’t wait for the fans to see what we have in store.”
The revival series’ first season debuted on October 12, 2023 and was made up of 10 episodes. The last episode was released on December 7, meaning this renewal comes just over two months after Season 1’s conclusion
What is the Frasier revival about?
“Frasier is off to a different city with new challenges to face, new relationships to forge, and an old dream or two to finally fulfill,” reads the revival’s logline. “Frasier has re-entered the building!”
The original Frasier series ran on-air for 11 seasons from 1993 to 2004. It earned a total of 108 Emmy nominations and won 37 of them, including Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for Kelsey Grammer’s performance as Frasier Crane. Additionally, the series also earned Grammer two Golden Globe Awards for Best Actor.
