Severance Season 2 Trailer: Apple TV+ Hit Returns in 2025

The official Severance Season 2 trailer has been released ahead of its premiere on January 17, 2025, on Apple TV+.

“In Severance, Mark Scout (Adam Scott) leads a team at Lumon Industries, whose employees have undergone a severance procedure that surgically divides their memories between their work and personal lives. This daring experiment in ‘work-life balance’ is called into question as Mark finds himself at the center of an unraveling mystery that will force him to confront the true nature of his work… and of himself. In season two, Mark and his friends learn the dire consequences of trifling with the severance barrier, leading them further down a path of woe,” says the synopsis.

What do we know about Severance Season 2?

Severance Season 2 will see Adam Scott reprise his role as Mark Scout. The cast also includes Lower as Helly Riggs, Tramell Tillman as Seth Milchick, Zach Cherry as Dylan George, Jen Tullock as Devon Scout-Hale, Michael Chernus as Ricken Hale, Dichen Lachman as Ms. Casey, John Turturro as Irving Bailiff, Christopher Walken as Burt Goodman, and Patricia Arquette as Harmony Cobel.

Sarah Bock, Gwendoline Christie, Bob Balaban, Merritt Wever, Alia Shawkat, Robby Benson, Stefano Carannante, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, and John Noble have also joined the cast of the new season.

The series is executive produced by Ben Stiller, who also directs five episodes this season. Uta Bresiewitz, Sam Donovan, and Jessica Lee Gagné also direct episodes, while Erickson writes the series. Additional executive producers include Erickson, Scott, Arquette, John Lesher, Jackie Cohn, Mark Friedman, Beau Willimon, Jordan Tappis, Sam Donovan, Caroline Baron, Richard Schwartz, and Nicholas Weinstock.

The first season of Severance was nominated for 14 Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series (Scott), Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series (Turturro and Walken), Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series (Arquette), and Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series (Stiller). It won the awards for Outstanding Main Title Design and Outstanding Music Composition for a Series (Original Dramatic Score).
