Apple TV+ has announced the early Silo renewal for its popular sci-fi drama series, which is currently airing its second season. The Rebecca Ferguson-led show will officially run for two more seasons, with the fourth installment expected to wrap up the story.

Since making its debut in 2023, Silo has recieved positive reviews from critics and audiences alike. Its latest season currently holds a near-perfect Tomatometer rating of 96% on Rotten Tomatoes. New episodes premiere every Friday through January 17, 2025.

What did Rebecca Ferguson say about the Silo renewal?

“I’ve loved every minute of bringing Juliette to the screen and am immensely proud of what we’ve all created with Silo since the first episode,” Ferguson said in a statement. “I have always felt passionately about telling the entire story contained within Hugh Howey’s books, so I couldn’t be happier that audiences around the world have enthusiastically embraced the show. Alongside our partners at Apple, Graham, and the entire cast and crew, I cannot wait to dive into these final two thought-provoking seasons that will beautifully conclude this dystopian tale.”

Silo is written and created by showrunner Graham Yost based on Hugh Howey’s post-apocalyptic novel series of the same name. The series is executive produced by Ferguson, Yost, Ben Brafman, Jon Midlane, Fred Golan, Cassie Pappas, Fred Golan, Ingrid Escajeda, Remi Aubuchon, Hugh Howey, and Nina Jack. Producers are Aric Avelino, Ben Brafman, and Joanna Thapa.

“It is the story of the last ten thousand people on earth, their mile-deep home protecting them from the toxic and deadly world outside,” reads the synopsis. “However, no one knows when or why the silo was built and those who try to find out face fatal consequences. Ferguson stars as Juliette, an engineer who seeks answers about a loved one’s murder and tumbles onto a mystery that goes far deeper than she could have ever imagined, leading her to discover that if the lies don’t kill you, the truth will.”
