During the final day of Netflix’s Geeked Week, a brief first look at The Witcher Season 2 was released, heavily featuring the Lion Cub of Cintra, Ciri (played by Freya Allan) along with a few quick glimpses teasing the upcoming season. Along with the new video, which you can check out below, the streamer and CD PROJEKT RED announced a WitcherCon event next month to celebrate the world of The Witcher.

On July 9, Netflix and CD PROJEKT RED are teaming up to host WitcherCon, a global virtual celebration centered on the popular franchise. According to the event’s website, the digital convention will be streamed on both Netflix and CD PROJEKT RED’s YouTube and Twitch channels and will be available for co-streaming.

The worlds of the CD PROJEKT RED’s video games and the Netflix series will come together for an event “full of surprises and exclusive first looks,” such as deep dives into the making of The Witcher games, including the upcoming mobile game The Witcher: Monster Slayer, and comic books and fan gear, along with Netflix’s live-action series, merchandise, and the anime film Nightmare of the Wolf.
There will also be exclusive behind-the-scenes footage, as well as interactive panels featuring the team that brought The Witcher to life in the video games and on-screen, featuring breakings news from the television show and never-before-seen reveals from the franchise. Additionally, there will be “expert explorations into the lore, legends, monsters, and origins of the Continent.”

The website made it clear that no new Witcher game will be announced at WitcherCon, but there is plenty to look forward to next month. The first airing on July 9 will take place at 1:00 p.m. ET with the second stream airing on the same date at 9:00 p.m. ET.
