ComingSoon is debuting an animated short from the Adult Swim Smalls program, titled Sucks to be the Moon. Created by Eric Paperth and Tyler March, the short is set to debut publicly on Adult Swim’s YouTube channel today at 12 p.m. ET.
“Jealous of the Sun’s stardom, the Moon bails into space in search of a planet that actually cares about him,” reads the short’s synopsis. “Will he find his place in the universe, or is he destined to be a lonely loser forever?”

Paperth and March founded Tiny Little Cartoons, while Paperth is currently the showrunner of the Bleacher Report comedy series The Champions. He has also served as a writer’s assistant on Impractical Jokers and has sold a spin-off web series titled Look Who’s Joking.

The cast of Sucks to Be the Moon includes Rob Tanchum, Stephanie Hsu, Clyde Avondale, Eric Paperth, Tyler March, and Aly March. It was created, written, and directed by Tyler March and Eric Paperth, with art and animation by March.
The music and lyrics in the short are by Rob Tanchum, with additional instrumentation by Max Ash, Ben Ash, and Matt Wade and mixing and mastering by Lucas Kozinski. The puppet sequence was done by Erin Pearce, Sevan Najarian, and George Metaxas.
