Prime Video has finally shared the first Cross teaser trailer for Amazon MGM Studios’ upcoming series adaptation of James Patterson’s bestselling Alex Cross novels.

The teaser trailer introduces One Night in Miami actor Aldis Hodge as the titular detective and forensic psychologist. This marks Hodge’s first major TV project as the solo lead, after previously appearing in shows like Girlfriends, Leverage, Turn: Washington’s Spies, and City on a Hill. Prime Video’s crime thriller is expected to make its debut sometime this year.

“Cross is a twisted thriller about Alex Cross, a detective and forensic psychologist, uniquely capable of digging into the psyches of killers and their victims, in order to identify — and ultimately capture — the murderers,” reads the logline.
