Yuji Itadori’s existence in the popular manga Jujutsu Kaisen has continued to defy the preconceived notions in the Jujutsu Kaisen society. After taking his first steps in the Jujutsu society, Yuji’s journey hasn’t been anything close to pleasant. From the moment he swallowed Sukuna’s fingers and stepped into the sorcerer’s world, his abnormal strength and speed made him one of the toughest sorcerers out there.
It’s been years since fans began begging series creator Gege Akutami to give Yuji some power-up that allows him to fight evenly against foes like Sukuna or Kenjaku. In the most recent chapter of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga, their prayer has been answered. Using the reversed curse technique, Yuji has cemented his place as one of the best Jujutsu Sorcerers. He had shown remarkable growth during the culling games; now, with this technique, he joins an elite class of sorcerers.
Jujutsu Kaisen: Yuji Itadori Now Uses The Reverse Cursed Technique
The reverse cursed technique processes negative energy into positive energy by taking two sources of cursed energy and multiplying them. As a result, the energy that destroys becomes energy that is created, and negative energy becomes positive. This technique has only been showcased by elite members of the Jujutsu society, like Yuta and Gojo. The news was well received by fans waiting for Yuji to grow more as a Jujutsu sorcerer.
The technique was confirmed by Ryomen Sukuna, who noticed that his former host had changed considerably. He confirmed this after he launched an attack aimed at point-blank range on Itadori’s torso, which should have instantly killed the sorcerer but seemingly showed no effect after a few minutes. Even though facing opponents who have high skills has pleased Sukuna, the mere sight of Itadori using it irritated him.
However, it has yet to be confirmed how Itadori acquired this skill level, with new rumors and theories swirling around. One thing that can be confirmed is the skill and power required to achieve that skill. With only a handful of sorcerers left to confront Sukuna, Yuji reaching this height is a significant turning point for the series.
