Episode 9 begins with Tomozaki still reeling from Minami’s shocking confession. At work, he talks with Mizusawa, who can sense the source of his grief is women’s trouble. He guesses it has something to do with Kukuchi but is even more astounded when he assumes it to be Mimimi. Interestingly, he is proven correct.
Mizusawa scolding Tomozaki was the episode’s highlight, as he called out his self-deprecating habit. He tells him it’s a terrible habit, and he always looks relieved to talk down to himself. Mizusawa goes on to say to him that when he depreciates himself, it upsets people who like him.
Later in the episode, Tomozaki meets with Aoi, who asks him to pick two girls he wants to pursue. After much struggle, he finally reveals the names Mimimi and Kikuchi. After receiving several missions from Aoi, he sets out to complete them. Fumiya tries to approach Mimimi, but the awkward situation causes him to retreat strategically.
