The episode also revealed the relationship between Principal Wahlberg and Innocent Zero. Ryoh Grotz explained that Innocent Zero, Wahlberg, and Meliadoul were the disciples of the world’s strongest wizard, Adam Jobs. This meant the two of them were on practically equal footing in power. However, Ryoh clarified that Innocent Zero attacked now, which meant he had an ace up his sleeve.

During his confrontation with Wahlberg, Innocent Zero revealed his true face to his former partner. Wahlberg was repulsed, claiming Zero had abandoned his humanity, resulting in his blank facial expression. He prepared the forbidden spell, Timez, to deal with Wahlberg.

Mashle Season 2 Episode 8 recap

The episode begins with Wahlberg appearing before Innocent Zero, preventing him from getting Mash. Wahlberg said he would rather die than hand Mash over to him, calling Mash the hope for the future. This amused innocent Zero, who appeared with his gang of criminals, the criminal crane. However, none of the criminal crane members could take a step due to the pressure Wahlberg exuded.

Zero summoned demons to attack the students and distract Wahlberg while they fought. Wahlberg freed Mash, Lance, Dot, Orter, and Kaldo from Innocent Zero’s spell to prevent this. Innocent Zero’s special demons avoided Mash, drawing the attention of the others so they couldn’t help Wahlberg.

Wahlberg teleports him and innocent Zero away, entrusting the battle to the others. Orter and Kaldo tried to finish up and regroup with Wahlberg but were thwarted by the amount of demons being summoned. Ryoh Grotz is on his way to the battlefield while explaining Wahlberg and Zero’s past to his apprentice.

Cell Wall creates a carbon tower, threatening to collapse it on the helpless frozen students, forcing Mash to take action. Meanwhile, Lance and Dot fought against Sitter Baby, a member of the criminal crane who turned them into babies. Despite their power being a tenth of its original, Lance defeats Sitter Baby using Sectional Graviole.
