The ongoing fantasy C-drama Fox Spirit Matchmaker: Red Moon Pact, starring Gong Jun and Yang Mi, released episode 11 on May 27, 2024. The episode focuses on Hong Hong (Yang Mi) bravely facing the spirit lord. As Shi Ji and her army of spirits surround the spirit-master kingdom, Hong Hong sends Shi Kuan to the city gate to investigate the matter. She plans to lure Shi Ji inside the kingdom so she will be intoxicated by the poisonous fog formation inside. Hong Hong wants to save the spirits while taking Shi Ji out herself by consuming the half-spring snow.
Shi Kuan pretends to be Shi Ji’s ally and invites her inside the kingdom. But Shi Ji is as cunning as ever. She sends in some members of her spirit army to check if Hong Hong has laid any traps for her.
Meanwhile, Yuechu (Gong Jun) and Princess Bu Tai enter the ancestral hall as newlyweds to look for a way to unbind the mother talisman. They come across the mystical yin stone that is connected to the talisman. By destroying the stone, one can activate the talisman. But when Yuechu tries to destroy it, it causes an explosion, harming both him and the princess. Yuechu realizes that the yin stone’s destruction will cause the entire chamber to falter. But Bu Tai is not afraid to risk her own life to save Shi Kuan’s.
When the spirits don’t return for a long time, Shi Ji gets dubious about Shi Kuan. Sensing her suspicion, Shi Kuan attempts to leave the battleground but fails to do so. He closes the gate to the kingdom, and a fight breaks out between them.

Yuechu pushes Bu Tai out of the chamber to stop her from endangering her life. He sends a spirit butterfly to Hong Hong to inform her that Luo’s soul has remained protected. He informs her that he has already lent the soul his vitality.
Then, Yuechu gives his everything to destroy the yin stone, ultimately causing the entire ancestral hall to clash. Hong Hong rushes to save him from under the rubble. She scolds him for not discussing the marriage with her. Then, she uses her aura to heal him. With her help, Yuechu narrowly escapes death.
Shi Kuan announces that his loyalty only lies with the princess. Shi Ji tortures him using the mother talisman. But he is still not ready to let her enter the kingdom. He makes it clear that he won’t let anyone near the princess or interrupt her wedding ceremony. Just when Shi Ji is about to destroy Shi Kuan’s talisman, his entire life flashes before his eyes. He recalls the moments spent with Bu Tai. Princess Bu Tai comes out of the gate and comforts Shi Kuan. She also promises to always be by his side. However, Shi Kuan is not sure if he is dreaming.
In episode 12 of Fox Spirit Matchmaker: Red Moon Pact, Shi Ji portrays Bu Tai as the descendant of the evil royal bloodline that tortured the spirits. She orders the spirits to attack Bu Tai. But before they could reach her, Hong Hong enters the scene. Shi Ji calls her a traitor and blames her for the decline of the clan. Before she could spout any more nonsense, the princess reveals the truth. It was Shi Ji who bound the spirits using the talisman.
Hong Hong and Shi Kuan work together to destroy the yin stone. The spirits are finally free from all the suffering. They rejoice and indulge in a joyous celebration.
But sorrow yet again befalls Shi Kuan when the princess is murdered by an unknown assassin in the market the next day.
