THQ Nordic’s 10th Anniversary Showcase was full of more obscure video game franchises, but it saved the most recognizable name for last. The publisher also did not show any gameplay and only released the trailer found at the bottom of the article. It opens with “Sweet Victory,” the iconic song from the “Band Geeks” episode, and goes through many places from SpongeBob‘s lore.
Purple Lamp Studios, the team behind 2020’s SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated, is developing this title. And unlike Rehydrated, Cosmic Shake is a new game, not a remaster. The studio did not share any details about this upcoming game and only tweeted a simple GIF in response. Rehydrated was a platformer so it’s likely Cosmic Shake will follow in those same footprints.
