Amazon Prime Video dropped another season of its coming-of-age romantic comedy, Flames Season 4, which premiered on December 21, 2023. Directed by Divyanshu Malhotra, Flames Season 4 is produced by The Viral Fever. The series stars Ritvik Sahore and Tanya Maniktala in the lead roles alongside Sunakshi Grover, Shivam Kakar, and Deepesh Sumitra Jagdish.
The series’ premise is based in a tuition center located in west Delhi and showcases the lives of two students who fall in love while preparing for their examinations. Season 1 of Flames premiered in 2018, followed by season 2 in 2019, and season 3 in 2022.

Flames Season 4 Ending: Does Ishita leave for Mumbai?
Towards the end of Flames season 4, Ishita’s decision to leave for Mumbai starts bothering Rajat during his pre-board exams. The thought of a long-distance relationship results in him failing the exam, whereas Pandu scores 58% on the exam. Unhappy with his result, Rajat pours out his frustration on his best friend, Pandu. Meanwhile, Ishita starts to rethink her decision to go to Mumbai as her father isn’t able to get a transfer.
Rajat expects his parents to scold him for failing the pre-board exams, but the two are weirdly calm about it. They knew that scolding would only scare Rajat more. His parents also help him understand that he failed only because of his mistakes and not because of Ishita. He had to rectify his mistakes, as only his hard work and improved scores would help him secure a spot in a good college.
Since Ishita isn’t leaving for Mumbai anymore, she thinks about everything she said to Rajat. She wants to speak to him but fails to gather the courage. Ishita’s best friend, Batri, tells her that both of them are at fault and they could either keep wallowing in guilt or patch up. So, Ishita and Rajat eventually call each other and start talking the way they used to.
Was Kaushal sir able to find a new job?
On the other hand, Jaydeep threatens Kaushal sir to take down his videos, but the latter doesn’t comply. His students also support him, which results in Kaushal sir getting fired. While Kaushal sir is busy looking for a job, he gets an invitation from Pandu, Anusha, and his other students to meet them.
As Pandu’s father is ecstatic about his son’s pre-board exam scores, he lets Kaushal sir use his warehouse to teach the students. Along with this, the students also present Kaushal sir with a new banner for Sunshine Coaching Center, reviving the center.
Were Anusha and Pandu’s able to save the momos stall?
Later, Anusha and Pandu try to save their favorite momos stall. The owner of the stall was asked to vacate the premises as he couldn’t register, pay, and open a permanent shop. The two then try to help him by making a video showing how a small-time businessman like him was being forced and threatened to leave. Anusha acts as a journalist in the video.
Although the video didn’t do much, the owner of the momos stall was able to reopen his stall outside the Sunshine Coaching Center.
Does Ishita leave for Mumbai?
At the end of Flames Season 4, Ishita’s father has a heart-to-heart conversation with his daughter. He expresses that he doesn’t want Ishita to not live her life because of him. So, at her father’s request, Ishita decides to leave for Mumbai on her own. After learning about her decision, Rajat plans a date for her.
Then, in the future they envision, Ishita surprises Rajat from behind while he is writing a poem, indicating that their projected future does come true. However, in the present, Rajat reads the poem he has written for Ishita.
The season ends with Rajat and Ishita sharing a cute moment on their balcony while studying together. Nikhil learns how to cook through a video call with his mom while Anusha and Pandu take pictures at the new coaching center. Kaushal sir surprises his wife with a new pamphlet of the Sunshine Coaching Center, appointing her as the new physics teacher.
Anusha’s video reaches her brother, who might just allow her to pursue journalism, and Gaurav confesses his love to Varun. At the end of the final episode of Flames Season 4, the gang gets together to enjoy momos at their favorite stall.
