Akshay Kumar‘s OMG 2 emerged as one of the highest-grossing Hindi films of 2023. The movie sheds light on blind faith, religious hypocrisy, and the power of individual belief.
Amit Rai directed and wrote the movie. The comedy-drama film is a spiritual sequel to OMG—Oh My God! (2012) and stars Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, and Yami Gautam Dhar. The movie revolves around a devout father who confronts the school after his son gets expelled for an explicit video.
OMG 2 was theatrically released on August 11, 2023, and premiered on Netflix on October 7, 2023. Cape of Good Films, Viacom18 Studios, and Wakaoo Films produced it.

OMG 2 Ending: Does Kanti Sharan win the court case?
When the case goes to court in OMG 2, lawyer Kamini Maheshwari represents the accused, including the school. She was also the daughter-in-law of the owner of the school. She believes that Vivek’s actions on the school premises were wrong. On the other hand, Kanti Sharan believes that the lack of basic sex education might lead the children to behave like Vivek.
Later, Kanti Sharan comes across a bag left by an unknown customer at their store, where he finds books like Kamasutra and Panchatantra. This proves that such topics have existed in the culture for centuries and yet the schools refuse to teach children about them. Smartphones and the internet lead them to unreliable information.
Kanti Sharan’s family was questioned as well. It was aimed to weaken his defence by mainly embarrassing them with unrelated questions. However, his family decides to stand by him. This sets back Kamini’s plan as it was a ploy to tell people how Kanti Sharan might be a hypocrite who openly demands sex education in school but refuses to talk about it with his family.
Does Kanti Sharan sign the contract?
Since Kanti Sharan had been facing dilemmas regarding the case, Lord Shiva appears in the form of a commoner at several places around the city. A sex worker is brought in to explain how the school does not discriminate based on the parents’ occupation. Kanti then asks the sex worker if she enjoyed her work, to which she says that men don’t know anything about a woman’s body and how to treat it with respect. Kanti then adds that if the schools were to teach sex education to young boys, they’d know how to respect a woman’s body. He also points out how kids should know about bad touch and good touch.
The case continues and Kanti points out the issues surrounding pornography, rape, drugs, and the importance of sex education. The school offers him ten million (one crore) to withdraw his case. This puts him in another dilemma regarding his son’s future, so he signs the contract.
Later in OMG 2, an accident occurs, resulting in Kanti’s death, but the messenger visits him in the hospital. He criticises his decision to lose faith and reveals his true self. Kanti finally realizes his mistake and reincarnates. He then goes to court again.
Does Kanti Sharan win the court case for Vivek?
Towards the end of OMG 2, Vivek proves that colonisers ruined India’s education system by making sex education non-inclusive, unlike how it used to be before. The teenagers from the crowd also come forward and confess, including the Judge’s own son.
Kanti Sharan wins the case, and the court orders the education board to mandate sex education. They also ask the school to compensate Kanti and readmit his son to the school.
OMG 2 ends with Kanti introducing his family to the Messenger as “the doctor who treated him” and offers the money to him instead of the temple. The Messenger reveals that the lost bag belonged to him, and asks Vivek to keep it. The bag also had several cultural and religious books inside it. He bids farewell as he has another patient to attend to, leaving a happy Kanti behind.
