Popular South Korean actor Nam Joo-Hyuk is all set to star in the Disney Plus crime K-drama Vigilante. The series, based on the webtoon of the same name, will see Nam Joo-Hyuk essay the role of Kim Ji-Yong. The character is an intelligent and dedicated student at a police university by day but takes the law into his own hands as a vigilante at night.

Vigilante, showcasing Nam Joo-Hyuk’s intense duality, will premiere with two episodes on November 8, 2023. From then on, new episodes will be released every Wednesday, furthering his story of revenge and justice. This Choi Jeong-Yeol-directed K-drama will stream exclusively on Disney Plus and has a line-up of many popular cast members. The official cast list includes Nam Joo-Hyuk as the police university student and a revenge-seeking vigilante, Yoo Ji-Tae as Chief Investigator Jo Heon of the Metropolitan Investigation Unit, Kim So-Jin as reporter Choi Mi-Ryeo, and Lee Joon-Hyuk as second-generation chaebol Jo Kang Ok.
Disney Plus released the exclusive trailer for Vigilante, documenting Nam Joo-Hyuk (Kim Ji-Yong) in action. The trailer begins with an introduction to the show’s characters, while Kim Ji-Yong strongly asserts, “From now on, blame the law for letting you go free. I’ll show you what hell is.” This indicates that when the law fails, a vigilante like him delivers his own punishment.
The trailer also gave viewers a sneak peek of Nam Joo-Hyuk’s action-packed scenes. Detective Jo Heon is keen to discover the identity of the vigilante while investigating a crime scene. Jo Kang-Ok is portrayed as a Vice President of DK Group, also on the lookout for the vigilante, and collaborates with the reporter, Choi Mi-Ryeo. The latter is keen to disclose a breaking story and earn significant success by revealing the identity of the vigilante.
Kim Ji-Yong takes the role of the judge, delivering vigilante justice to criminals. He is inspired to take the law into his own hands after losing his mother to an attack by criminals and them getting away due to the law.
