Twinkling Watermelon will air this week’s episodes on Monday, October 30, and Tuesday, October 31, 2023. The series revolves around a CODA (child of deaf adult) student named Eun Gyeol and his time travel journey. He travels back in time to 1995 and meets a couple of high school students, eventually joining his father’s band Watermelon Sugar.
tvN released the preview photos of Twinkling Watermelon episode 11, teasing an intense conversation between Eun-Gyeol (Ryeoun) and his father from the past, Yi Chan (Choi Hyun-Wook). This week’s episodes will provide viewers with answers that they have been waiting for. Will Eun-Gyeol be able to save his father Yi Chan from the accident, or will the latter suffer hearing loss? The newly released photos provide some much-needed context.
Ryeoun tries to save Choi Hyun-Wook in Twinkling Watermelon episode 11
Episode 11 of Twinkling Watermelon will finally see the formation of the band Watermelon Sugar, with Se-Kyung (Seol In-Ah) as the photographer and Cheong-Ah (Shin Eun-Soo) as the designer. While the members prepare for the band’s performance at the festival, Eun-Gyeol is on a mission to save his father, Yi Chan, from the horrible accident that causes the latter’s hearing loss.
Meanwhile, Eun-Gyeol realizes that his father’s accident will take place on the same day as the performance and is desperate to save Yi Chan at all costs. He tries to contact the Master in hopes of finding clues, but he soon realizes that there is no way to do that. In an attempt to deter Yi Chan from attending the rehearsal, Eun-Gyeol asks Se-Kyung for help.
Choi Hyun-Wook confronts Ryeoun in episode 11
Presumably, Se-Kyung helps Eun-Gyeol by luring Yi Chan to an undisclosed location. In the preview photos, Yi Chan looks disappointed with Eun-Gyeol. It looks like he finds out that Eun-Gyeol manipulated him into coming to the location by using Se-Kyung. As implied in the preview photos, a tense conversation happens between the two.
In one of the photos, Eun-Gyeol is seen kneeling in front of Yi Chan in a desperate plea to not attend the festival or to apologize for luring him using Se-Kyung. While the context of their conversation is unknown, the preview clip provides some context.
In the clip, the two ride a boat when Eun-Gyeol reveals that he’s seen Yi Chan’s future. Moreover, Eun-Gyeol shares that he has found a way to change the latter’s life. The clip then goes on to show Yi Chan and the members rehearsing, which is followed by impending tensions. As such, viewers will have to wait and see if Eun-Gyeol is successful in saving Yi Chan from suffering hearing loss.
