Empire posted the above behind the scenes look at Dawn of the Planet of the Apes featuring a scene in which the magazine describes as “Toby Kebbell‘s alpha ape, Koba, riproaring his way through a scene at the Ape Village. Guns, as this photo indicates, will play a crucial role on both sides of the ape/human chasm this time out.”
The film will find Caesar (Andy Serkis) and the rest of the apes holed up in the Ape Village, distant from human survivors, trying to establish a new community for themselves. The film hits theaters on July 11 and costars Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, Toby Kebbell, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Enrique Murciano, Kirk Acevedo and Judy Greer.
