Allison Janney has been cast in The Help, reports Entertainment Weekly.
Janney will play Charlotte Phelan, mother to Emma Stone’s Skeeter Phelan, a young woman who, in 1960’s Mississippi, begins to interview a maid (Viola Davis) and writes about her experiences.
The cast also includes Bryce Dallas Howard, Chris Lowell, Octavia Spencer and Jessica Chastain.
