Harold Perrineau (Lost, The Rookie, Claws) is set to headline Epix’s upcoming sci-fi horror series From, created by John Griffin, according to Deadline. Perrineau will reunite with Emmy winner Jack Bender (Alias, Game of Thrones, Mr. Mercedes), who previously directed and executive produced for Lost and will direct the first four episodes of the new show. From is expected to begin filming later this month with plans to premiere on the streamer in 2022.

From unravels the mystery of a nightmarish town in middle America that traps all those who enter. As the unwilling residents fight to keep a sense of normalcy and search for a way out, they must also survive the threats of the surrounding forest – including the terrifying creatures that come out when the sun goes down.

Perrineau, also known for his work on Oz, Goliath, the Constantine series, The Matrix films, and The Best Man franchise, will play Boyd Stevens in the project. Stevens is described as a “sheriff whose Draconian rules have held the fragile town together, even as he searches for a way to escape this seemingly inescapable nightmare.”
