Vince McMahon’s Current Role and Influence in WWE Revealed

Following the TKO merger and his reported exit from WWE Creative, the future of Vince McMahon has been the subject of much speculation.

In June 2022, Vince McMahon was dealing with his hush money scandal, which led to his retirement. Since then, Triple H has overseen creative; however, McMahon did return to the promotion at the beginning of the year, and despite having some control and significant input, the Endeavor deal was finalized in September.

Recently, WWE experienced a significant shift as Vince McMahon was removed from his role and Triple H took complete control of the promotion’s creative department. In November, Vince McMahon, the Executive Chairman of TKO Group Holdings, made headlines when it was revealed that he was selling $700 million.

McMahon’s departure from the creative process has sparked speculation about his future in the promotion. Nevertheless, recent reports have disclosed McMahon’s current position within WWE.

According to a new report from Sports Illustrated, Vince McMahon is not leaving WWE. It was stated that he had no plans to leave the business. According to sources within the company, McMahon reportedly sold a significant number of shares because he needed to have the money liquid, but the exact reasons for this move are still not disclosed

Furthermore, it is also reported that McMahon still holds ‘great power’ within the promotion, and his primary focus is handling the assignments delegated to him by Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel.

Former WWE superstar Chris Jericho praised Vince McMahon

Chris Jericho, who made his debut in WWE in 1999 with a memorable confrontation with The Rock, was actively involved in the promotion until 2005.

Since then, Jericho has made sporadic appearances, which have included some great feuds with Shawn Michaels, CM Punk, Edge, and Kevin Owens. In 2019, Jericho decided to join AEW, where he has become one of the promotion’s top stars.

In a recent interview with Insights with Chris Van Vliet, Jericho spoke about his relationship with McMahon, stating that he believes people could learn a lot from the TKO Group Executive Chairman.

Despite leaving WWE, Jericho maintains a good relationship with the promotion. He even made a video appearance on an episode of RAW in June 2022 to congratulate John Cena on his two-decade career.
