Former WWE World Champion Rey Mysterio is known as one of the most famous luchador wrestlers in the world. Mysterio began his wrestling journey at a young age, stepping into the ring at just 14 years old. In the 1990s, Mysterio rose in the WCW, becoming one of the top cruiserweight division wrestlers. His reign was marked by breathtaking maneuvers in the ring that captured fans’ attention.
In 2002, Rey Mysterio made his way to WWE, where his legendary career reached even greater heights. His feud with Eddie Guerrero, especially over Dominic Mysterio’s infamous game management, remains a fan favorite to this day.

Rey Mysterio opens up about how much longer he wants to wrestle
WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio recently appeared on Chris Van Vliet’s podcast, where he discussed his future plans. During the “Insights with Chris Van Vliet” episode, he mentioned that he doesn’t typically think about retirement until it’s brought up, especially by his wife.
He stated, “I don’t [think about it] until it’s being brought up and when my wife brings that up, that’s when I pause. I don’t know if I want to do it another two years, three years. I kind of listen to my body and my mindset, especially my mindset because my body’s been feeling great with all the benefits that I get from doing like the cold plunge and the sauna. Overall, my mind has to be in the right place, so that’s probably the hardest thing for me. Because sometimes the age factor comes into mind and not in the moment, but thinking ahead like I want to be able to still move around and walk at 55 or 56. Is my body going to feel the same? I don’t know.”
Rey Mysterio, a veteran in the business, continues to thrive in WWE. Next week, he is scheduled to face his son, Dominik Mysterio, in a singles match on WWE Raw.
