Hulk Hogan Reacts to AEW Star Adam Copeland’s Cage Jump

WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has reacted to AEW star Adam Copeland’s steel cage match at AEW Double or Nothing. Copeland faced Malakai Black in a Barbwire Steel Cage Match for the TNT Championship.

During the match, after defeating Black, Copeland suffered a devastating injury. He climbed to the top of the stage to perform an elbow drop on Black. He jumped from the top of the cage through a table but landed on his feet before falling onto Black. A day later, Copeland announced that he had broken his tibia and needed surgery due to the impact.

Copeland has been a great mentor since arriving at AEW. He will be sidelined for a couple of months due to his injury. This led to him vacating the TNT Championship. Jack Perry recently captured the vacant TNT Championship. Perry won the title in a multi-man ladder match at AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door.

Adam Copeland, formerly known as Edge in WWE, recently had his former tag team partner Hulk Hogan reacting to his Double or Nothing match. Back in the early 2000s, both Hogan and Edge were a tag team where they also captured the WWE Tag Team Championship.

Hulk Hogan questions AEW star Adam Copeland: ‘didn’t get it’

WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan questioned AEW star Adam Copeland for jumping off the cage at Double or Nothing. Speaking on The Outbound Life, Hogan commented on Copeland’s jump, expressing confusion over why a veteran nearing the end of his career would take such a risk.

He stated, “I watched Edge [Copeland] jump off the cage the other night. I haven’t talked to him yet, but trained professional. Twilight of his career. Jumps off the top. Please explain that to me. He’s over. Most guys who do that go up and do it because they are not over enough. Edge was over. To do that, I just don’t get it. I haven’t called him yet. I was going to call him last night, but I fell asleep. I just want to know, ‘Please explain that to me.”

He continued, “You’re over like a son of a gun. You didn’t need to do that. You didn’t need to go up there.’ If you’re going to go up there, it doesn’t mean anything unless you do something better than Mick Foley did. Mick Foley got thrown off the top of the cage and hit the table. If you’re going to beat Mick Foley, you have to get thrown off the top of the cage with no table. I just didn’t get it. It didn’t mean anything because Edge was so over. So over. He didn’t need that,”

Adam Copeland was sidelined due to his injury. This has led to his title coming to Jack Perry, who recently joined The Elite. When Copeland returns, the question comes to fans’ minds: will he set his sights on reclaiming his championship from Perry? But any title pursuit will undoubtedly mean facing the entire Elite faction.
